• Ongoing projects in my community to encourage exchange, learning and enjoyment. Next month, December 2011, you’ll see some changes to this site. We are becoming a social enterprise, ARTSPOKES, to reflect more closely the thinking behind the organisation. It’s a big relaunch in the cause of social change. We believe we will be more effective and have more impact as a social enterprise.
Whats happening now
• Continuing to encourage drawing. Take a look at the drawing for adults workshops at the Natural History Museum.
To see my drawing workshop Animals and Other Creatures at City Farms click on this link drawing for children. I will be taking part in the Big Draw, the Campaign for Drawing, this year. To find out more about this great campaign go to www.campaignfordrawing.org.
• Collaborating with other artists to bring music & video into workshops. This summer, August 2011, we organised another ART WEEK for our Estate and invited film maker, Greg Hall, to work with us again to make two short films with the 9-13 year olds. They chose to make HORROR FILMS!
For more on ART WEEK 2011. The workshops ran alongside the FIELDGATE BIKE PROJECT.
This is a quote from William Morris which I really like.
It is also on one of the posters for the Save the Arts campaign.
