Amazing Mechanical Circus was a collaboration with artists Darcy Turner and Jennie Wright working with children from Thomas’ School, London.  Inspired by Alexander Calder’s 1920’s Mechanical Circus the children built a stage and individual mechanical  ‘circus acts’.  They then gave a performance to music which they themselves recorded on video.


This is a small portion of the original video edited by a parent.   I have pared it down for reasons of copyright and privacy.

East London 2010 The young people made two great documentaries with Greg Hall - Give Us Back Our Playground and Dispersal Order - about issues which directly effect them.  On the last evening everyone was invited to the Community Hall for a celebratory screening with Awards.
