ARTSPOKES

changing spaces with art

ArtSpokes is a not for profit organisation that has grown up in a small area of East London

out of an informal grassroots venture begun in 2007. Our aim is to change environments,

develop local talent and encourage people to have a voice through art.

We listen, help identify issues and aim for the longer term rather than the temporary fix.

The solutions we come up with are often unconventional.


Alongside art commissions, ArtSpokes sets up and run two and three-dimensional art projects in

schools, colleges and the wider community. Through small, sustained art interventions it

brings people together, creates opportunity, and encourages friendliness, respect and understanding between people of different cultures and religion.
