The Shamiana project in Burma
An inspiring Burmese woman organised a group of women to make a beautiful banner for the Shamiana Exhibition using traditional Burmese techniques. This banner was brought out of Myanmar (Burma) and is now held by the British Burma Society. It is a reminder of Myannar and the people who have lived for so many years under an oppressive regime.
I played a small part in organising this event.
